Let's take a long deep breath.
—
—
—
Bring all our attention into this moment.
Be totally and completely here and now.
Close your eyes if you feel like it.
Relax your whole upper body.
—
—
Allow your shoulders and arms to fall toward the ground on your next out breath.
Relax your shoulders and arms.
Let your whole body relax now.
—
—
Just be here for a while, knowing that you're gonna feel super present and connected in a few minutes.
Set that intention — that you know that that's gonna happen.
So you can enjoy your respite.
—
Recharge.
—
Allow your intention to be present to fill you up until you're completely ready.
—
—
Listen to life for 10 seconds.

Shifting overnight is a very cool idea.
I want to talk to you about it a little bit today.
This is something that I've been doing for years.
Let’s consider the concept from a neuroplasticity perspective.
Neuroplasticity is the mechanism through which your brain changes based on the experience that occurs within your brain.
Experiences can be thoughts, emotions, relationships you’re engaged in (or processing).
They can be from drugs, or other chemicals.
Your experiences are all of the things constantly ongoing that are affecting and redefining your brain.
Neuroplasticity is an ongoing process throughout each of our lives.
As you probably know, it is one of the greatest discoveries in the history of science.
It became increasingly popularly understood in the last ~30 years as it became clearer how your brain changes throughout the course of your life.
Again, your brain is an organ that changes in real time throughout your life.
The idea of using the overnight period of your life as a primary training ground for generating the neuroplastic effects that you want — to be at peace, for example — is vital to you emotional health.
You want to live at peace.
You want to feel purpose flowing through you.
When you live at peace, purpose does flow through you.
We can and do go over how to do that in a variety of ways in other Shifts.
For today, I want to talk about shifting overnight.
For me, what that has meant is going to bed with the intention that when you wake up during the course of night, which you likely often do at least once throughout the course of the night, you're going to use that opportunity of waking up, (in addition to the minutes before you go to sleep), to bring yourself into a state of deep peace with an intentional shift — a shift into peace.
When you do that before you go to sleep, it has a compounding effect as you sleep.
When you do it when you wake up in between sessions of sleep, you're using these periods of time that you otherwise might not be intentional with at all, to target the most important priority of our lives, which is to live at peace, to live purposefully.
That's what I wanted to share with you today as a concept.
I'm going to suggest you shift before you go to sleep, and shift anytime you wake up during the night too.
Sound good?
For right now, let’s continue with the intention we started with today…
We're gonna shift into the present moment and we're gonna shift into peace as a result of that.
Let's listen to life as you let all that sink in about shifting overnight.
Doing that regularly will have a major impact on your life — when you get yourself to simply make that commitment to use those overnight hours (or minutes) to shift yourself into peace — because it changes your brain.
You'll be using all of that overnight time that otherwise might have not been used at all intentionally.
You'll be pointing toward a peaceful brain.
A peaceful life.
A purpose-driven life.
Or, whatever else you choose.
That's what I do.
But, motivate yourself.
Shift the way you want to, to build the brain you want.
—
See how all that sets with you now.
Relax yourself even further by taking another deep breath.
—
—
Come deeply into this moment again.
Close your eyes if you haven't already.
Just sink into now with me.
—
—
—
Feel gratitude arise.
Gratitude that we can have this journey of 30 trillion cells of our bodies functioning as one within this broader one — this presence that we live within.
—
—
—
Presence always fills me up with gratitude.
You can access presence to amplify that effect of peace in your life by shifting overnight.
Let's sit for 30 seconds in silence, letting it all seep in.
Fill yourself with presence now.

So good.
Thank you for shifting with me.
I love being a part of this community.
I love shifting every day and night.
It's my favorite thing.
Have a great one.
I'll talk to you soon.
Stay present,
Sean
